Surgical Care Affiliates’s (SCA’s) current president and CEO, Mike Snow, is resigning his position effective April 30, 2008, but will continue to serve as an advisor on the company’s board of directors.
Mr Hayek most recently served as president of VillageHealth, an insurance and care management company owned by DaVita, a provider of kidney dialysis services.
Leonard Schaeffer, SCA’s board chairman, said: “We believe Andrew is well suited to successfully lead SCA going forward. We welcome him to the SCA family.”
