Lannett Company, a manufacturer and distributor of generic pharmaceutical products, has announced that Brian Kearns has resigned as CFO. The company has named Keith Ruck, who joined Lannett as corporate controller in September 2008, as interim CFO.

Lannett is currently conducting an internal and external search for a permanent CFO. Prior to joining Lannett, Mr Ruck served as corporate controller of Optium. Earlier, Mr Ruck was vice president finance of Maax KSD and before that he served as vice president of finance and CFO of Total Containment.
Mr Ruck has earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a MBA degree from LaSalle University.

In addition to making improvements to our internal controls and business processes, he was instrumental in developing our strategic plans.
