VaxInnate, a biotechnology company, has appointed David Williams, retired chairman and CEO of Sanofi Pasteur, to its board of directors.

Previously, Mr Williams was a founding member of the Partnership for Prevention, an organization of public and private sector representatives who focus on preventive healthcare policies.

Mr Williams has received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Scranton. In addition to his service to his alma mater, Williams sits on the board of directors of several biotechnology companies, Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Hospital Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and AllOne Health Group.

Alan Shaw, CEO of VaxInnate, said: “Throughout his distinguished career, Dave Williams has consistently demonstrated his commitment to vaccines and their unquestionable value in preventing disease. We are delighted to welcome Dave to our Board and look forward to tapping his experience and energy to help make VaxInnate a key player in the vaccine market.”
