news.US-based NDS Surgical Imaging has acquired Dome Imaging Systems, the medical business unit of Planar Systems, which focuses on developing, manufacturing and marketing advanced display products for medical-imaging applications.

Dome’s customers include global picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) original equipment manufacturer (OEM) suppliers and medical information technology resellers to healthcare providers.
John Murphy, president and CEO of NDS Surgical, said: “The combined entity now has the unique capability to connect the realms of PACS imaging and surgical video/informatics, delivering valuable innovation to the radiology reading room and the operating room alike.
