news.US-based Misonix has entered into a new, two-year, sales agency agreement with privately held Advanced Oncology Systems, based in Wuppertal, Germany, for the representation of the Sonablate SB500 high intensity focused ultrasound system, the SonaStar ultrasonic surgical aspiration system, the BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutting system, and the SonicOne ultrasound cleansing and debridement system.

The agreement provides Advanced Oncology Systems (AOS) with the rights to sell in most eastern European countries, with a primary focus in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Georgia.
Sales will be consummated primarily through specialty distributors; however, in certain instances, direct to hospital sales are permitted. Minimum sales performance criteria for each product platform are stipulated in the agreement.
