Acacia Research, a developer and licensor of patented technologies, has announced that its Coronary Stent Visualization subsidiary has resolved litigation with Philips Electronics North America pending before the US District Court of Texas.

The litigation related to a portfolio of patents that apply to stabilizing medical images for interventional procedures such as cardiac catheters and stents, and for diagnostics procedures such as visualization of arterial lesions.
Acacia Research said that its subsidiaries develop, acquire and license patented technologies. Acacia Research’s subsidiaries control 100 patent portfolios, which include US patents and certain foreign counterparts, covering technologies used in a variety of industries.
