Stryker Endoscopy launches WiSe HDTV embedded with Amimon’s technology

Amimon has announced that Stryker Endoscopy, a medical technology company and a division of Stryker Corporation, has launched a high-definition wireless video display for the operating room.

Stryker Endoscopy’s WiSe high-definition (HD) TV is embedded with Amimon’s wireless HD technology. Amimon has granted Stryker Endoscopy exclusive access to its technology for the medical endoscopy market.

William Chang, Stryker Endoscopy’s vice president of R&D and chief technology officer, said: “Stryker Endoscopy is known for providing HD visualization for surgeons. Only Amimon’s HD wireless technology is capable of transmitting surgical video with no perceptible lag or interference throughout the entire operating room.

“This will allow surgeons greater flexibility in positioning the surgical display while operating. In addition, hospitals and surgery centers will save the hassle and cost of routing DVI cables through the ceilings and overhead booms.”
