Idaho Technology signs licensing agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific

Idaho Technology, a biotechnology company, has signed a licensing agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific, a provider of analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, software and services. The agreement covers reagents or methods using Sybr Green I technology and melting curve analysis for real time polymerase chain reaction.

This extends Idaho Technology’s ongoing program to license its intellectual property portfolio in cooperation with Roche Diagnostics. The agreement follows a series of intellectual property licensing agreements with a number of other biotechnology companies over the last several years.

Randy Rasmussen, president of Idaho Technology, said: “Idaho Technology is pleased to extend this license to Thermo Fisher Scientific. Our Sybr intellectual property has helped expand applications in molecular biology with the use of real time polymerase chain reaction products providing powerful tools for licensed partners.”
