news.VWR International, a global laboratory supply company, has acquired Omnilab, a scientific laboratory supply distributor headquartered in Mettmenstetten near Zurich, Switzerland.

Omnilab’s core business of supplying instrumentation, consumables and services is expected to complement VWR’s local expertise in chemicals, consumables and life science products.
Manuel Brocke-Benz, senior vice president and managing director of European operations at VWR, said: “Omnilab has the portfolio of products and customer focused services to support VWR’s further growth in Western Europe; this acquisition delivers benefits to both our customers and suppliers by providing an expanded range of products and services to the scientific community in Switzerland.”
