news.Impac Medical Systems, an Elekta company, has recently launched new version for its Mosaiq1.6, an image-enabled oncology information system that will support OBI Advanced Imaging, Varian's new OBI workstation software.

Among support available with Mosaiq1.6 is the ability to automatically import cone-beam CT (CBCT) images generated on Varian treatment machines.
Jay Hoey, president and CEO of Impac Medical, said: “Our two companies worked closely and efficiently to ensure Impac customers could take advantage of new Varian connectivity and benefit from the innovative 3D distributed image review capabilities and sophisticated decision-making tools, long a part of Mosaiq.”
Impac is also working with Varian to support the RapidArc product and have plans to upgrade a mutual customer in late August of 2008.
