The grant, which will total $265,000 each year, for the next three years, will be used solely to support and conduct basic and clinical research relating to kidney disease. This multi-year agreement gives Dialysis Corporation of America (DCA) a platform from which to support consistent education and innovation in the areas surrounding kidney disease.
Under the agreement DCA will provide the University with the amounts due under the grant at the end of the first quarter of each of the three years of the agreement. The initial $265,000 grant amount was provided to the University on March 31, 2009.
Stephen Everett, president and CEO of DCA, said: “Formalizing this relationship with the University of Cincinnati allows DCA to support kidney disease research and education in a comprehensive way while working with an organization dedicated to its mission, independence, and integrity. University of Cincinnati’s history of research and education makes this an excellent choice.”
