news.Nitric BioTherapeutics, a venture backed biopharmaceutical and medical device company, has appointed David Pfeiffer as its new COO. As COO, Mr Pfeiffer will be based at the company's headquarters in Bristol, Pennsylvania.

Mr Pfeiffer brings over 20 years of pharmaceutical experience to Nitric Bio. For the past 11 years, Mr Pfeiffer worked at CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals, with his most recent position being senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Mr Pfeiffer is a graduate of Rutgers University with an MBA from Northwestern University.
Frank McCaney, CEO of Nitric Bio, said: “As Nitric Bio continues to progress with clinical trials in a number of different therapeutic areas, it is critical that we develop and implement commercialization and marketing plans for our various products.
“Mr Pfeiffer has a track record of developing and commercializing new technologies, and his addition will allow us to advance products based on our proprietary nitric oxide platform.”
