PerkinElmer names new vice president of cellular imaging and analysis

PerkinElmer, a provider of technology, services and solutions to the diagnostics, detection and analysis and photonics markets, has appointed Achim Leoprechting as its new vice president and general manager of cellular imaging and analysis solutions.

In this role, Dr Leoprechting will be responsible for driving the cellular imaging business for PerkinElmer.

Prior to his new appointment, Dr Leoprechting was the European sales director within the company’s bio-discovery business element, where he led growth in instrument and reagent sales. Dr Leoprechting has received his PhD in biology from Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg, Germany.

Richard Eglen, president of bio-discovery at PerkinElmer, said: “We look forward to Achim taking on his new strategic role in leading our cellular imaging and analysis group, as we continue to drive innovation in research technologies to better human health.

“Achim brings significant global and technical knowledge which will be instrumental in providing customers with the imaging solutions they need to better understand the biological processes of disease.”
