CVRx names new board member

CVRx, a private medical device company, has appointed Joseph Slattery as a member of its board of directors. Mr Slattery will chair the audit committee. His position expands the board to eight directors.

Mr Slattery is currently on the boards of Micromet, a biopharmaceutical company, and TranS1, a medical device company. Mr Slattery also served as senior vice president and CFO of Digene, a molecular diagnostics company.

Mr Slattery holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College and is a certified public accountant.

Nadim Yared, president and CEO of CVRx, said: “Joe is a significant addition to the CVRx board, and we’re excited to work with him. Joe brings skills in managing rapid growth, as well as extensive financial and accounting experience, particularly with emerging medical and diagnostic companies. His insights will be valuable as we continue to build the company and work towards commercialization of our Rheos system.”
