news.CVRx, a private medical device company, has appointed Joseph Slattery as a member of its board of directors. Mr Slattery will chair the audit committee. His position expands the board to eight directors.

Mr Slattery is currently on the boards of Micromet, a biopharmaceutical company, and TranS1, a medical device company. Mr Slattery also served as senior vice president and CFO of Digene, a molecular diagnostics company.
Mr Slattery holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College and is a certified public accountant.

Joe brings skills in managing rapid growth, as well as extensive financial and accounting experience, particularly with emerging medical and diagnostic companies.
