news.US-based Endo Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company, has appointed Nancy Hutson to its board of directors. Dr Hutson's appointment brings the number of Endo board members to nine.

Dr Hutson retired from Pfizer in 2006 after spending 25 years in various research and leadership positions with that company, serving most recently as senior vice president of global R&D at Pfizer and director of Pfizer’s pharmaceutical R&D site, known as Groton/New London Laboratories.
She currently is a director of Cubist Pharmaceuticals and Inspire Pharmaceuticals, and serves on the board of Planned Parenthood of Connecticut.
