news.Biometric technology company Luminetx has signed a key three-year vendor contract with Amerinet. Through the deal, Amerinet's 24,000-plus member base, of which more than 2,000 are acute care institutions in nature, will have access to custom Amerinet group purchasing discounts as they relate to the VeinViewer by Luminetx, the company's signature product.

The vascular imaging system allows physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to clearly see accessible vasculature (or lack thereof) in real time.
The device will use a combination of near-infrared light and patented technologies to image vascular structures and project their location directly on the surface of the skin. This provides clinicians with a safe, non-invasive adjunct technology for clinical treatments and procedures.
