news.Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, a specialty biopharmaceutical company, has appointed William McKee as its new independent director and as a member of the board's audit and compliance committee.

Mr McKee is the executive vice president and CFO of Barr Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
Prior to joining Barr, Mr McKee served as director of international operations and vice president-finance at Absolute Entertainment from June 1993 until December 1994.
