Pfizer has announced the establishment of its new regional medical and marketing headquarters in Dubai, licensed by the Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park.

Pfizer’s move is a part of its ongoing strategy to develop its Dubai operations as a regional hub for the Middle East and Africa. The pharmaceutical giant has more than 1,300 employees in the Middle East.
The Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech) aims to create a center of excellence for biotechnology by building national and international collaborations in industry, research and education. It currently hosts 35 licensed firms and is working closely with the relevant regulatory bodies to grow the life sciences industry in the country.
Jeffrey Kindler, chairman and CEO of Pfizer, said: “Our partnership with DuBiotech offers us a solid regulatory system and the right governmental support to drive innovation, which is crucial to the development of the biotechnology industry.”
