Inverness Medical Innovations elects new board member

Inverness Medical Innovations, a developer, manufacturer and marketer of advanced consumer and professional medical diagnostic products, has appointed James Roosevelt, Jr, president and CEO of Tufts Health Plan, to the company's board of directors.

US president Barack Obama recently selected Mr Roosevelt as part of his transition team to co-chair a review of the social security administration.

Mr Roosevelt serves as chairman of the board of directors for Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, and as a member of the board of directors at America’s Health Insurance Plans, Emmanuel College and the Kenneth B Schwartz Center.
