According to the company, Cleanse and Treat is the first prescription acne medication with a two-sided pad system. One side of the pad contains a leave-on cleanser (salicylic acid 2%) and the other side of the pad contains a leave-on treatment (benzoyl peroxide 5%).
The company said that Cleanse and Treat allows patients to cleanse their face without rinsing or needing a bathroom. The uniquely designed leave-on cleanser effectively removes dirt and oil while simultaneously delivering the active ingredient to exfoliate the skin, according to Quinnova Pharmaceuticals.
