Olympus and Novation renew purchase agreement

Olympus America and Novation have renewed a multi-year agreement covering the purchase of Olympus automated chemistry systems by Novation members.

The agreement sets the terms under which Novation members can acquire Olympus AU series analyzers, automation systems, reagents, consumables, parts, service and technical support. The contract spans three years and may be extended up to two additional years. It is a renewal and expansion of the prior Novation-Olympus agreement, which had similar terms, and which was extended through a full five years.

Olympus was selected again because of its analyzers’s reliability, cost effectiveness, user-friendly operation, speed, accuracy and range of support services.

Greg Knapp, senior director, contracting services for Novation, said: “The relationship between Novation and Olympus has served our alliance members extremely well over the past five years, and the level of business we have done together has more than doubled. The arrangement provides members with benefits in technology, responsiveness, productivity and standardization.”
