Aarti Industries to merge with Anushakti manufacturing division

Aarti Industries, a manufacturer of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, has decided to merge the manufacturing division of Anushakti Chemicals and Drugs with it.

Anushakti Chemicals is an associate company of Aarti with 49.67% stake, and is a manufacturer of various speciality chemicals used in performance chemicals, agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals.

The company has its manufacturing units at Bhachau in Gujarat, Tarapur and Dombivali near Mumbai, Aarti said.

Anushakti reported profit-before tax of Rs392m ($7.14m) on a turnover of Rs3.39bn ($61.78m) out of which exports stood at Rs992m ($18.08m) in FY2011-12. Aarti reported revenue of Rs1.65bn ($30.07m) and exports of Rs963m ($17.55m) for the same period.
