According to the company, the new location provides proximity to the large population center of Mexico City, easy access to the Ministry of Health and the ability to oversee trials in Central America.
The facility is home to more than 20 clinical staff, with room to expand to nearly 50 as trial volume in the region increases, the company said.
Charles Schmidt, senior director of operations for Latin America, said: “We are pleased to formalize our operations in Mexico with a new facility. Mexico is a country with a strong tradition in clinical trials. It will also help open the door for further expansion into Central America.”
