Access Pharma adds CSPN to MuGard sales network

CSPN offers specialty pharmacy services including mail distribution, clinical services, therapy management and web-based reporting.

MuGard is a viscous, mucoadhesive rinse which provides a protective coating to the oral mucosa.

MuGard is designed to form a protective hydrogel coating over the oral mucosa while a patient is undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy cancer treatments to the head and neck.

Access Pharma Managed Care and Market Access VP Anthony Mottola said the expansion of their market access strategy, which combines various Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBM’s) such as CVS Caremark, large payers like Humana and United Healthcare along with additional networks of specialty pharmacies, such as CSPN gives them the opportunity to provide added patient and provider support services, through full-service HUB, the MuGard Patient Reimbursement and Support Center (MuGard PRSC).
