Aflex Unveils New Hose Design

Corroline is built around a patented PTFE hose liner, for use within chemical and process industries

Aflex Hose has unveiled Corroline, a flexible hose developed to stand up to the toughest chemical and process applications. Corroline is built around a patented PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) hose liner that is smooth bore inside but convoluted outside to generate flexibility.

The reinforced PTFE construction is strong enough to withstand full vacuum and kinking without the need for either internal convolutions or the need to bond the liner to an outer cover.

Corroline combines the flexibility of a convoluted hose with the chemical and temperature resistance of a PTFE liner.

In conjunction with the release of Corroline, Aflex Hose has introduced Puretag, the sanitary hose labelling system. Available in silicone or EPDM, Puretag’s streamline design offers a glue free label encapsulated flush with the external surface of the hose.

Tony Logan, commercial general manager of Aflex, said: “Our technologies are driven by teams of highly-dedicated engineers and technologists who demand the best.We have a reputation for being able to design flexible hose solutions that are beyond the expectations of our customers,”
