Alli To Be Available Over-the-counter In Taiwan

Approved by the Bureau of Pharmaceutical Affairs under the Department of Health

The low-dose diet pill – Alli will be available over the counter in Taiwan. This makes the pill the first to be sold over the counter in Taiwan and is marketed by GSK – reported the China Post.

 

The safety measures for the drug was reviewed by the Bureau of Pharmaceutical Affairs under the Department of Health (DOH). As per the approval, the pill would soon be available nationwide.

 

Liu Li-ling, deputy chief of the bureau, has warned people that residents should take precautions and abide by the medication instruction leaflet that is provided, while using the drug.

 

“Nations such as the US, Europe and Japan have already seen the proliferation of the use of this drug,” he said.
