Almirall Reports Financials For First Half Year 2009

Almirall has posted net income totalling E103.4m for the first half year 2009, whereas the normalized income reached E89.1m. The company has also reflected a 3.9% rise of its EBITDA, compared to the first six months of the previous year, standing at E143.6m. Meanwhile, net sales total E488.8m, an increase of 4.5%.

The company has also reported net sales E488.8m for the second quarter of 2009, compared to E467.9m for the same period 2008.

Jorge Gallardo, chairman and chief executive officer of Almirall, said: “We can affirm that the guidance is successfully being accomplished since the beginning of this year. Our results are derived from a robust and forward-looking strategy, on which we will continue to work to achieve our business objectives.”
