AmerisourceBergen sells Canadian pharmaceutical distribution business to Kohl & Frisch

Drug distribution and related services company AmerisourceBergen has sold its Canadian pharmaceutical distribution business, AmerisourceBergen Canada Corporation (ABCC), to Kohl & Frisch (K&F).

The sale follows execution of an agreement signed between both the companies in March 2013 and marks K&F’s commitment to expand its operational presence and customer base across Canada.

Kohl & Frisch has acquired entire ownership interest in ABCC business as well as all of its assets, while interest in the Canadian specialty business is held with AmerisourceBergen.

During the quarter ending on 30 September 2013, post closing purchase price adjustments are expected to be finalized with Kohl & Frisch, a Canadian-owned national full-line distributor.

K&F has distribution centres in six provinces across Canada, while ABCC has operations in seven provinces.
