Amgen takes over more than 99% of MN Pharmaceuticals shares

Amgen has completed the acquisition of more than 99% of the shares of Mustafa Nevzat Pharmaceuticals (MN Pharmaceuticals), a privately held Turkish company.

The all-cash transaction is expected to expand Amgen’s presence in Turkey and the surrounding region.

The acquisition was initially announced on 25 April 2012.

MN Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of injectable products, was established in 1923 in a district of Istanbul known as Uskudar, Ihsaniye under the name of Mustafa Nevzat Laboratory.

Amgen, a biotechnology company, discovers, develops, manufactures and delivers human therapeutics.
