Under the collaboration agreement, Asterand and 5AM Solutions are expected to share the development costs to build software offering a standardized solution to identify, annotate and distribute human biological materials for use in research.
Asterand Strategic Planning and Government Affairs VP Victoria Blanc said they believe that this software will assist them to meet this demand by allowing them to have vision into an ever-increasing network of sophisticated biobanks.
5AM Solutions CEO Brent Gendleman said together we will create the platform required to link distant biorepositories into a virtual bank and enable controlled access to specimens for research.
