news.NuGEN Technologies, a developer of nucleic acid sample preparation systems, has appointed Lutz Kirchrath as its new managing director of European field operations reporting to Sue Pandey, vice president of field operations. Dr Kirchrath will lead both sales and technical support functions.

Dr Kirchrath was most recently European pharmaceutical district manager for Affymetrix where he developed targeted sales and business development strategies, and managed cross-functional workflows between sales, marketing, field support, customer service, and finance teams.
Prior to Affymetrix, Dr Kirchrath spent nearly five years in sales development and applications support positions with Amersham Pharmacia Biotech in Freiburg, Germany.
