Biotage adds ChemMatrix resins to product portfolio

Biotage said that ChemMatrix is a patented 100% PEG resin from Matrix Innovation that offers substantial advantages over traditional PS and PEG based resins for solid phase peptide synthesis.

The ChemMatrix resin is a technological tool enabling synthesis of complex molecules from biological origin, peptides, oligionucleotides and small proteins typically used for therapeutic purposes.

Biotage claims ChemMatrix has exceptional stability, wide solvent compatibility, no leaching, optimum loading capacity allow users to achieve higher purities and yields of product, per gram of resin, especially in the case of difficult peptide sequences.

Biotage Commercial Operations VP Scott Carr said that earlier this year, they introduced the SyroWave peptide synthesiser, more recently Resolux HPLC columns for peptides purification and now ChemMatrix resins.
