Biotec Services said that the ultra low temperature storage space is increased to 300% which is expected to meet the needs of its clients who use its import, QP certification, labelling and assembly storage services for investigational medicinal products (IMPs).
Biotec Services said that it can now store supplies for a longer duration. The company is expected to utilise the new storage space when handling clinical supplies for Phase I-IV trials through to commercial supply.
The increased ultra low temperature storage abilities are expected to allow for the storage of material that has not yet been designated for use in trials, testing or for commercial use, but requires long term storage in GMP compliant conditions.
Licensed to handle IMPs, commercial materials and named patient supplies, Biotec Services will be able to collect materials directly from manufacturers and continue to provide a service by storing material and later dispatching to testing sites.
Rachel Griffiths, operations director for Biotec Services, said: “By increasing our storage and distribution services on such a large scale, we are providing clients with greater flexibility and are offering them a complete service.”
