Bosch Packaging opens new packaging facility in India

Bosch Packaging Technology has opened INR340m ($5m) new facility in Verna, Goa, India, to meet the needs of local pharmaceutical customers.

Bosch is involved in manufacturing filling and closing machines for liquid pharmaceuticals, fill and seal machines for flexible bag packaging as well as flow wrapping machines for confectionery and food applications.

The 33,000ft² facility is expected to double the production capacity in India from 200 to 400 packaging machines per year over the next three years.

Bosch Packaging Technology president Friedbert Klefenz was quoted by Inpharm as saying that the new facility will contribute in pursuing the company’s future plans and consolidating its position in the Indian and international markets.
