Previously the company announced that Sven Andreasson has notified the company of his wish to resign from the position as president & CEO.
Sven Andreasson has been the company’s CEO since 1999 and under his leadership Active Biotech is said to have been transformed from a combined vaccine and research company into a company focused on development of novel pharmaceuticals for treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases.
Sven Andreasson will remain as CEO until September 1, 2008.
