Inviro Medical Devices CEO to retire

US-based Inviro Medical Devices has announced that its CEO Gareth Clarke will retire on July 11, 2008.

Tony Holler, Inviro chairman of the board and former CEO of ID Biomedical, will serve as the company’s interim CEO until a permanent replacement is named.

Mr Clarke joined Inviro Medical Devices as CEO in March 2005 and has been responsible for the commercialization of the infection control company’s product line and for achieving its current position within the manually retractable safety syringe segment.

Mr Clarke said: “It has been a pleasure to be associated with Inviro. We developed this infection control business from scratch into a leader in its market segment and received significant recognition through our group purchasing organization partnerships. Our products help protect and have been enthusiastically received by healthcare workers and patients.”
