Derma Sciences and Source Medical sign Canadian distribution deal

Wound and skincare products maker Derma Sciences has entered into an agreement to make products distribution firm Source Medical Corporation its exclusive distributor for the Canadian market.

The five-year agreement begins on June 1 and provides for strong revenue growth for Derma Science, as well as incentives to Source Medical. In addition to distribution fees for expanding Derma’s market share in Canada, Derma Sciences will manufacture certain products that Source markets and distributes under the Source Medical brand.

“We are pleased to partner with the leading medical products distribution company in Canada,” said Edward Quilty, CEO and president of Derma Sciences. “This agreement will allow us to focus on our core competencies in manufacturing, and sales and marketing. The 50 person Source sales team will give us better coverage in the market and our sales team will work closely with them to grow our business throughout Canada.”

Derma Sciences manufactures products in areas such as advanced and traditional wound care, burn care, skincare and bathing.
