Camlin Fine Chemicals Not To Divest API Stakes

Company to concentrate on food ingredients and antioxidants business

Camlin Fine Chemicals of Camlin, the maker of a popular range of stationery products, said it does not have plans to sell the API business, clarifying the announcement made by financial daily titled `Camlin looks to sell Arm`s Pharma Business’ in a news release, noted myiris.

“ At the moment the growth push is being planned by expanding growing food ingredients and antioxidants business and product portfolio. API business will still keep contributing but will not be on active thrust,” added the company.

The Mumbai-based group is one of the earliest Indian makers of active pharmaceutical ingredients, or API. The Camlin Fine Chemicals manufactures speciality chemicals, including fine chemicals, intermediates, bulk drugs, food additives and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
