Merge Healthcare has signed a new contract with the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) based in Minneapolis, MN. The solution will debut at the CDI center in Sartell, MN.
Steve Fischer, CIO of CDI, said: “After reviewing several prominent mammography applications, Merge Mammo 7.2 proved the best overall solution. While our physicians noted the software’s robustness and intuitive workflow, it was Merge’s flexible deployment model that best matched our expense-to-revenue criteria and won our vote of confidence. Their dedication throughout the entire process was also very much appreciated.”
The company claims, Merge Mammo 7.2 brings new, intuitive viewing protocols and workflow tools that allow each radiologist to display and compare breast images according to his or her preferences. Merge Mammo also manages breast images regardless of medical device type or modality vendor used to acquire the images.
Nancy Koenig, president of Fusion division at Merge, said: “This is a nice step forward in our relationship with CDI. CDI has relied on Merge software to manage its radiology workflow through the use of Fusion RIS (Radiology Information System) for several years. This new contract continues Merge’s dedication to meet the immediate and unique needs of each diagnostic imaging facility through innovative medical imaging solutions and productive service models.”
