CET completes life sciences center expansion

Cumberland Emerging Technologies (CET) in the US, has expanded its life sciences incubator, increasing the facility to over 14,000ft², which is more than double the past size.

Located in Nashville, the expanded facility provides additional wet lab, office and storage space to current and prospective tenants.

CET and Cumberland Pharmaceuticals chief executive officer A.J. Kazimi the facility was opened in 2002 to meet the needs for wet lab space and other support services among life sciences firms.

”The additional space will allow us to better serve our existing tenants while providing a growing number of early-stage companies with the resources and support required to commercialize new products," Kazimi added.

The Center has an emerging high-tech corridor in the SoBro area at south of Broadway Avenue in downtown Nashville, US.

The center offers lab and office space, equipment and infrastructure support to six companies, including three organizations, which are recently awarded $3.2m in federal small business grants.
