TomTec and Medis introduce joint cardiac imaging and analysis product

TomTec, a provider of medical imaging software solutions, and Medis, a provider of quantification software solutions, have launched a joint cardiac imaging and analysis product for X-ray angiography and ultrasound.

The combined solution is a fully integrated software package that consists of TomTec’s Image-Arena and Medis’s QAngio XA quantification software. It will be available as one platform that can be integrated into the products of partnering medical device manufacturers and that connects to existing PACS, HIS, CPACS and CVIS in hospitals.

The software solution reduces the integration effort for industry partners and for hospitals that want to optimize their imaging and analysis processes and data management, the two companies said.

Frank Schlau, chief marketing officer at TomTec, said: “Medis’s cardiac quantification software perfectly complements the strengths of Image-Arena. Cardiac quantification and image management on one platform for vendor independent imaging information will greatly enhance hospital workflow.”
