news.Chi-Med, the China-based healthcare and consumer products group, has introduced its co-branded Earth's Best and Zhi Ling Tong organic infant formula product in China through Hutchison Hain Organic, its venture with The Hain Celestial.

Chi-Med said that the product is produced in Switzerland under an exclusive supply agreement with an independent supplier and has completed the China importation and certification process with approval from the Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of The People’s Republic of China and a certificate of organic certification from the China Organic Food Certification Centre.
Earth’s Best is a brand of organic baby food in the US and Canada while, Zhi Ling Tong is Chi-Med’s premium infant nutrition brand in China.
Hain Celestial president and CEO Irwin Simon said that their entry into the Chinese market through Hutchison Hain Organic continues with Chi-Med’s Zhi Ling Tong brand of infant products working together with their Earth’s Best brand.
Chi-Med CEO Christian Hogg said that they believe this commercial network in China provides a framework upon which to launch organic infant formula.
“Through our close partnership with Hain Celestial over the past two years, we have created premium infant formula products available on the China market,” Hogg said.
