China Botanic Q2 net sales up

China Botanic Pharmaceutical has reported net sales of $18.87m for the fiscal second quarter ended 30 April 2011, compared to $12.09m for the same period in 2010.

The company has generated net income of $7.08m, compared to $3.42m for the same period in 2010.

China Botanic’s income from operations was $8.03m, compared to $3.4m for the same period last year.

For the six months ended 30 April 2011, net sales were $41.5m, compared to $29.23m for the same period in 2010.

Net income was $18.02m for the six months of 2011, compared to $10.8m for the same period in 2010.

The company’s income from operations was $19.68m, compared to $10.78m for the same period in 2010.

China Botanic chairman and CEO Shaoming Li said they are confident that they will achieve their goals for fiscal 2011 and meet their financial guidance for revenue in the range of $70.6m to $71.7m and their raised after-tax net income guidance of approximately $25.5m.
