China Sky One Medical has announced that the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has approved two of its newly developed drugs, Acyclovir and Shuanghuanglian. The products will be introduced in the market during the third quarter of 2009.

Acyclovir gel is used to treat skin infection due to varicella-zoster virus and herpes simplex virus.
Shuanghuanglian suppositories helps relieve cold and flu symptoms such as fever, cough and sore throat pain. It is also effective in upper respiratory infections and pneumonia.
Earlier, the company has also received approval from SFDA for Diclofenac Sodium suppositories to enter the clinical trial. This drug will be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and to relieve pain after operations and fever.
