The Thermo Scientific HyClone SUB will start shake-down runs and is expected to be ready for GMP contract manufacturing by December 2011.
CMC Biologics global chief operations officer Gustavo Mahler said the expansion of the facility to include the 2,000L SUB will allow them to meet increasing demand for producing biologicals for Phase III and into market supply.
"We have worked closely with Thermo Fisher Scientific to bring this project in on time and on budget," Mahler said.
