Corning Life Sciences has opened a new manufacturing and distribution facility in China with aim to serve the rapidly growing life sciences market.

The Corning’s Board of Directors had approved around $40m capital expenditure plan for the project in July 2010.
The facility, located in the Wujiang Economic Development Zone, features labware manufacturing capacity along with a full-service distribution center.
Corning Greater China CEO Eric S. Musser said the opening reflects the company’s commitment to the country’s life sciences industry through a combination of strategic investments and innovative technologies.
Corning Life Sciences is known for helping researchers worldwide by providing products and services in the areas of Life Sciences and chemistry, surface modification, and characterization science.
