Packaging of the bottle does not comply with the requirements of the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.
The dietary supplement bottles contain 90 tablets of 25mg iron supplement each, which can result in serious injury or even death to young children when multiple tablets are ingested at once.
No incidents or injuries have been reported to date, however consumers were advised to keep the recalled bottles out of reach of children and return them for a full refund or for a replacement immediately.
The recalled bottles were sold at localities that include New Seasons, Sprouts Farmers Market, Vitamin Cottage, Whole Foods Market and other natural food stores nationwide from January 2013 to May 2013 for about $10.
