CPRIT grants funds for cancer research

The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) has awarded over $117m funds for cancer research.

The funds are received by a facility which tests new cancer drugs, a project dealing with lung cancer treatment undertaken by a biopharmaceutical company on a new drug that targets non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Over the last two years, CPRIT has awarded over $550m in funding for cancer research, prevention and commercialization projects.

Moreover, the funding is said to attract cancer research scientists to Texas, US.
