Quest Diagnostics names new SVP and chief medical officer

Quest Diagnostics, a provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, has appointed Jon Cohen, senior advisor to New York governor David Paterson, as its new senior vice president and chief medical officer, effective March 30, 2009.

Dr Cohen has spent more than two decades in the healthcare field. Before joining governor Mr Paterson as his chief policy advisor, Dr Cohen served as managing director of health industries services at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Dr Cohen holds a BS degree from the University of Miami and an MD degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine.
