The Dwarf-Star NIR Red-Wave spectrometer is designed with no moving parts to make it ideal for the field since it enables on-site product analysis and quality control, Laboratorytalk.com reported.
It is equipped with a high-performance InGaAs detector array for the 900-1,700nm wavelength range and achievable resolutions to 1.5nm.
Its 5 x 3 x 2in footprint enables easy hardware integration, and it is marketed as both a field-portable instrument and an OEM product.
Each Dwarf-Star includes free Spectrawiz Software and a developer’s toolbox of source codes, customisable demo programs and full spectroscopy applications. Additional driver interface documentation, development manuals, software support, add-on chemometrics packages and post-processing techniques are such as baseline correction, data smoothing and spectral derivatives are also provided.
